Old Bridge Township's Contractor, Fischer Contracting Inc. will begin milling and resurfacing operations of Throckmorton Lane, including Utica Avenue, from Cindy Street to the South Old Bridge Fire Department on or about Monday, July 22, 2022. This work is expected to take one week for milling operations and one week for resurfacing operations, weather permitting. Construction work hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm, daily. Police Officers will be on site to assist in traffic control and enforcing any road closures.
Every effort will be made to maintain access to local residences and commercial properties during milling operations. During milling operations, there will be no on street parking permitted, the road will be closed to thru traffic and detoured but will be open to local traffic as the milling operations permits and emergency vehicles only. Extreme caution must be used when driving through the milling work zones.
The resurfacing (surface course) of Throckmorton Lane is scheduled to take place the week of July 29, 2024, in four phases weather permitting. Throckmorton Lane resurfacing including Utica Avenue will require full roadway closure and inaccessibility to residential/commercial property driveways for a period of 1- 2 days for each phase. During full road closures on-street parking will not be permitted and property owners are encouraged to park on side streets. Property owners should review the attached phasing map for resurfacing operations.
Please note that any inclement weather or unforeseen conditions may cause delays to this schedule. If a schedule change occurs, residential and commercial property owners will be advised with additional notice.
