Gyms Re-opening under Governor Murphy's Executive Order
Old Bridge, NJ - Today, Governor Murphy signed an executive order to open up all gyms and health clubs in New Jersey on Tuesday, September 1st at 6:00 A.M, providing that they follow all guidelines from the Department of Health.
Gyms, health clubs and fitness centers may operate at 25% capacity. A six feet distance must be maintained at all times between patrons and employees. Face coverings are required while indoors, temperature checks will be conducted upon entry.
Individual or pair activities that do not involve contact may resume. Outdoor group activities may occur with a six feet distance between participants. Indoor group activities must be limited to one individual per 200 square feet.
All exercising equipment must be thoroughly sanitized between uses. Staff will be required to keep a log that includes date, time and scope of each cleaning. All showers will remain closed at this time.
