A message from Old Bridge Library
both the Federal Government and the State of New Jersey declared a
state-of-emergency due to escalating concerns about COVID-19. Out of an
abundance of caution, and in an effort to protect the vulnerable populations we
serve, the Old Bridge Public Library will be closed from Friday, March 13th
through Sunday, March 29th. We hope to re-open on Monday, March 30th
time, no in-person services will be available at the Library. Our Passport
Office will also be closed and access to the building will be restricted to
Library personnel. Although due dates will automatically be extended for all
customers while we're closed, the public can continue to return their materials
through the book drop located next to our main entrance, and also through our
community book drops. The community book drops are located at:
Bank, 1861 Englishtown Road, Old Bridge
of the Laurence Harbor Branch (currently closed), 277 Shoreland Circle,
Elementary School, 2 Old Matawan Rd, Old Bridge
deliveries to community organizations will be suspended until further notice.
Library programs and outside meetings held in our facility are also cancelled.
Donations will not be accepted during this time.
Monday, March 16th, Library staff will be available to answer your
questions by phone on weekdays from 10am-7pm, Saturdays from 10am-5pm, and
Sundays from 12pm-5pm. You can reach us by calling (732) 721-5600 x. 5010. We
will also make a number of behind-the-scenes changes to help you during this
difficult time, including:
Not charging late fees through March 30th
Automatically extending expiration dates on Library accounts so
your electronic access isn’t disrupted
Keeping your holds on our shelves until April 1st

We understand the inconvenience this may cause you, but these
steps are necessary in order to help safeguard the health of our community. We
