All camp refund vouchers were mailed out as of 6/1/2020.  Families should be receiving them this week. If you don't receive your refund voucher by Friday, June 5th, please contact our office. 

Remember when you receive your camp refund voucher to sign at the "X" and return the refund voucher and the receipt to our office.  You can mail everything to us, or you can drop it off in our drop box.  If you have any questions, please contact us at afterschool@oldbridge.com or you can call us at 732-721-5600 ext. 4040 or 2395.

 

 

 

How to get a Recreation Account to register for our program

If you have never been part of any of the recreational program in our town you will need to create an account prior to registration.  To do this please go to www.oldbridge.com.  Next click on the RESIDENTS tab.  Then click on RECREATION REGISTRATION link on the left.  CREATE an account with the adult's name as the primary account holder.  You will also need to fax(732-588-1990) or email(afterschool@oldbridge.com) us a copy of your child's birth certificate and proof of residency.  Once we receive that information we will approve your account and you will be able to register. 

Refund & Change of Program Policy

All refunds and change of camp programs must be submitted by email to our program prior to June 1st. 

By registering for camp, you enter into an agreement to pay the entire camp tuition unless our camp is notified prior to June 1st of a withdrawal, change of program, or refund request. 

NO REFUNDS will be given after June1stNO change of programs will be allowed after June 1st.

 Submit all refund requests and change of camp program request to afterschool@oldbridge.com.   .

Please note you may only sign up for one program from each section.  You can't sign up for both 4 week programs if the 8 week program gets filled.

Payment Information

Please note you will be required to login and make all your payments online.  We don't bill credit cards. No child is allowed to start the program if payment is not paid in full by June 1st

Full Day Summer Recess Program

The Old Bridge Township Full Day Summer Camp has camps for children in  Elementary & Middle School students.

Old Bridge Township is a non-profit organization that has been providing affordable camps to township families for over 25 years!!

We offer a 8 week camp session and two 4 week camp sessions. Please see below for camp dates.  The camp hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the Elementary & Middle School camps.

Tiny Turtles
This camp is for children who will complete kindergarten and complete first grade at the end of June 2020.  If your child will be graduating 2nd grade in June they must go to the Great White Sharks camp. Tiny Turtles camp is held at McDivitt Elementary School
Great White Sharks
This camp is for children who will complete 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade at the end of June 2020. If you child is graduating 5th grade in June they must go to the Middle school camp.  Great White Sharks camp is held at the Grade Nine Center (First building on the right when you go to Old Bridge High School)
Middle School Camp
This camp is for children who will complete 5th grade, 6th grade and 7th grade at the end of 2020.   If your child has completed 8th grade they are eligible for the High School Teen Travel camp. Middle School camp is held at Old Bridge High School

Old Bridge Township Summer Recess Camp

Code of Conduct & Expulsion Policy


Old Bridge Township requires the parents of enrolled children, at all times, to behave in a manner consistent with decency, courtesy, and respect. One of the goals of Old Bridge Township is to provide the most appropriate environment in which a child can grow, learn and develop. Achieving this ideal environment is not only the responsibility of the employees of Old Bridge Township, but it is the responsibility of each and every parent/guardian and child who enters the center. Parents/guardians and children are required to behave in a manner that fosters this ideal environment. Parents/guardians and children who violate the Code of Conduct will not be permitted on agency property thereafter. Please refer to the Code of Conduct, Suspension and Expulsion information below.


1.) Swearing/Cursing and Fighting:

No parent/guardian or child is permitted to curse or use other inappropriate language on agency property at any time. Such language is considered offensive by many people and will not be tolerated. If a parent/guardian or child feels frustrated or angry, it is more appropriate to verbally express the frustration or anger using non-offensive language. At NO time shall inappropriate language be directed toward members of the staff. A parent using inappropriate language towards a staff member will not be permitted on agency property thereafter. A child who uses inappropriate language will be suspended for 1 day from the program immediately following the incident If another incident should occur with inappropraite language it will be up to the Director to determine the length of the suspension. No parent/guardian or child is permitted to use physical abuse towards another child or staff member. Any physical abuse will result in suspension from the program. The suspension will be determined by the Director. If a reoccurrence of physical abuse should happen again after a suspension, the child will be TERMINATED from the program effective immediately.

2.) Threatening of Employees, Children, other Parents or Adults:

Threats of any kind will not be tolerated. In today’s society, Old Bridge Township Before & After School Program can not afford to sit by idly while threats are made. In addition, all threats will be reported to the appropriate authorities and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. While apologies for such behavior are appreciated, the agency will not assume the risk of a second chance. PARENTS/GUARDIAN AND CHILDREN MUST BE RESPONSIBLE FOR AND IN CONTROL OF THEIR BEHAVIOR AT ALL TIMES. ANY ADULT/GUARIAN OR CHILD WHO MAKES A THREAT WILL BE TERMINATED FROM THE PROGRAM IMMEDIATLEY.

3.) Physical/Verbal Punishment of your Child or Other Children at our program:

The Old Bridge Township Before & After School Program does not support or condone corporal punishment of children. These acts are not permitted in the child care facility. While verbal reprimands may be appropriate it is not appropriate for parents to verbally abuse their child, since this may cause undue embarrassment or emotional distress. Parents are always welcome to discuss a behavior issue with the teacher and to seek advice and guidance regarding appropriate and effective disciplinary procedures.

Parents are prohibited from addressing, for the purpose of correction or discipline, a child that is not their own. Of course, no parent or other adult may physically punish another parent's child. If a parent should witness another parent’s child behaving in an inappropriate manner, or is concerned about behavior reported to them by their own child, it is most appropriate for the parent to direct their concern to the classroom teacher and/or Center Director.

Furthermore, it is wholly inappropriate for one parent to seek out another parent to discuss their child’s inappropriate behavior. ALL behavior concerns should be brought to the attention of the teacher and/or the Center Director.

4.) Violations of Safety Policy:

Parents and students of the Old Bridge Township Before & After School Program are required to follow all safety procedures at all times. These procedures are designed not as mere inconveniences, but to protect the welfare and best interest of the employees, children, and associates of the Old Bridge Township Before & After School Program. Failure to follow the safety policy may result in immediate suspension from our program.

5.) Confrontational interactions with employees, other parents, children, or associates at our program:

While it is understood that parents will not always agree with the employees of the Old Bridge Township Before & After School Program, or other parents of the other children, it is expected that all disagreements be handled in a calm and respectful manner. Confrontational interactions are not an appropriate means by which to communicate a point and are strictly prohibited. Confrontational interactions will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination from the program. 

Additional Important Policies

Pick up Policy

Upon drop off in the morning or pick-up in the afternoon, only a person over the age of 18 will be allowed to sign in or sign-out your child. Your child will not be released to a minor.

Payment Policy: 

Payments must be kept up-to-date in order to continue childcare services. If payments are not kept current, your child will not be able to attend.  THERE IS A $25 LATE FEE FOR PAYMENTS RECEIVED AFTER THE DUE DATE.  NO child will be able to start camp unless all tuition payments have been received.

Late Pick up Policy

We allow ONLY 3 late pick-ups for the entire summer camp program.   A late pick up is considered any time after 6:00 p.m. It is up to the parent/guardian to guarantee a pick-up by 6:00 p.m. After the 3rd late pick-up, a letter will be sent home by the Director informing the parent/guardian that we can't allow another late pick-up from camp.  If a parent/guardian is late an additional time, your child(ren) will no longer be able to attend the program for the rest of the summer and no refund will be given.
** Please note that if a parent/guardian has not contacted us 30 minutes after our program has closed and we can't reach anybody on your emergency contact list, we will need to contact DYFS and the Police Department.  

Late Pick Up Fee

If a parent is late picking up their child from camp there is a $5 late pick up fee per each 5 minutes. Again after the 3rd late pick up, your will be asked to find another daycare and no refund will be given.

 

 

Elementary Camp Tuition Rates 2020

Tuition rates include ALL trips.  Tuition also includes 2 snacks & juice everyday.  Tuition rates don't include lunch.  Parents must drop off and pick up children at the camp sites.  We don't offer transportation.  A breakdown of the tuition payment schedule for each camp is below.  Please note you after your initial registration you will be required to login and pay off the balance prior to June 1st.  No child will be allowed to start the program if there is a balance on your account.  ALL campers must go on the trip as no counselors are left behind at the camp site. If you do not want your child to attend a particular trip, you may bring your child to camp once we have returned from the trip. Some trips will change from last year. On swimming days, all children are swim tested on the first day at the pool. Children are given colored wrist bands so lifeguards and staff know which area of the pool the campers are allowed in. If your child has difficulty swimming, swim lessons are given by lifeguards free of charge.

Camp Tuition can be paid in FULL or as a flexible payment schedule at the time of registration. All payments must be kept up to date and all camp tuition must be paid by June 1st.  Children with outstanding balances wont be able to start camp. The camp flexible payment schedule can be found below:

1st Payment Due at time of Registration- $450.00

2nd Payment Due by April 30th- $435.00

3rd Payment Due by May 30th- $430.00

4th Payment Due by June 15th- $430.00

 

Tiny Turtles and Sharks 4 Week Tuition Rate- $1,245.00

1st Payment Due at time of Registration- $350.00

2nd Payment Due by April 30- $300.00

3rd Payment Due by May 30- $300.00

4th Payment Due by June 15- $295.00

 

Middle School Camp Tuition Rate: (Tuition includes a Great Adventure Season pass & Food Pass)
