DOGS ARE WAGGING THEIR TAILS FOR BARK PARK
Old Bridge Township, NJ – Since we reopened three of the township’s “human” parks, we think it’s only fair to allow our canine friends some outdoor fun as well. Effective this Friday, May 22, 2020, Bark Park located within Mannino Park will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“Our dogs deserve to socialize and get exercise during the nice weather. It is not fair to keep them cooped up inside the house. Since our residents have been so accommodating and patient during the pandemic, we have decided to be generous and open the dog park,” stated Mayor Owen Henry.
Our furry friends are free to socialize, play fetch and run like maniacs until their hearts content. It is dependent upon their owners to obey the rules while visiting both the small and large side of the Bark Park. There is a capacity limit of five dogs each on the small side and the large side. Groups of 10 or more are not allowed to congregate, which will help people ensure a distance of at least six feet from others.
Only two dogs per owner is allowed. Please do not pet dogs that are not yours. And please remember to wear a mask and to sanitize your hands after touching the gate.
Interactions with individuals outside of your household is strongly discouraged. Social distancing is a proven strategy to slow the spread of COVID-19.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this time. We are depending upon Old Bridge residents to abide by the rules in order to keep our community safe.
