OLD BRIDGE FOOD BANK RECEIVES MONETARY AND FOOD DONATIONS DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Old Bridge Township, NJ – Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Old Bridge Food Bank has experienced an unforeseen increase in demand over the last several weeks. The food bank has remained in operation throughout the pandemic to continue assisting food bank clients and residents, who are struggling to make ends meet. Thankfully, the food bank has been able to meet this increasing need with the support of local businesses, organizations and residents who are continuously making monetary and food donations.

“Old Bridge is a generous community, and the support we have seen for the food bank proves that. Residents and businesses have come together to help our neighbors in need. Trying times like these can often bring out the best in people. I want to thank all who have donated,” stated Mayor Owen Henry.

We would like to acknowledge the following businesses and organizations who have donated to the Old Bridge Food Bank: Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, All American Ford, Brendon Tyler Narleski Foundation, DuPont, Friendly Sons of Shillelagh, Giusseppe's Pizza, Marathi Vishwa, Inc., Matawan Lodge #192 of Free and Accepted Masons, McFoods, Mike’s Pizza, Old Bridge Diner Girls, Old Bridge Girls Soccer League, Old Bridge Ice Hockey Junior Knights, Old Bridge Pizza, Old Bridge Public Schools, PBA 127, Route 516 Farmer’s Market, ShopRite, Temple Shalom of Aberdeen, The Lion’s Club and Wegmans.

“The support shown by the many businesses and residents has been overwhelming. Thanks to these donations, we have been able to meet the growing demands. The community spirit of all of those who have donated is greatly appreciated.” said Anahita Feltz, manager of the Old Bridge Food Bank.

Food donations can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Old Bridge Food Bank. Monetary donations in the form of checks can be mailed to Old Bridge Food Bank, 1 Old Bridge Plaza, Old Bridge, NJ 08857.
